Dashboard

The main window is recognizable by its static top bar called the Dashboard:

It consists of key elements, from left to right:

App name with its current version

Open this menu to zoom in/out the entire interface:

  • 59%: fullscreen UI on a 14” MBP
  • 75%: fullscreen UI on a 1920x1080 screen
  • 100%: fullscreen UI on a 2560x1440 screen
  • above 100%: zoom in, useful for presentations with a shared screen

Switch between layouts (also accessible through shift + 1-4 shortcuts)

  • Help layout: quick access to documentation
  • Setup layout: configure your project
  • Mixer layout: See routed modules in a mixer-like view
  • Stage layout: See all Stage modules

Shows the currently loaded project. Select which project to load here

Shows which setup preset is currently enabled. Quickly switch setup preset here without having to go to the Setup layout

  • Tools menu (⚙︎): access various tools and utilities
    • Update Ext.Sources: refresh available sources in the Ext.Src modules
    • Audio Settings: opens the audio settings module in a dedicated window. It is the same module as in the Setup layout
    • Preset Editor: a tool to copy values of parameters from one preset to others
    • Theme Builder: opens a standalone patch used for creating color themes for the app
    • OSC Monitor: monitor every OSC message that goes in and out from the app

First thing to toggle after opening the app. This will:

  • Load preset 1 for setup, scenic, performers and blackbox presets
  • Initialize some parts of the app
  • Start the metronome

Enables/disables video rendering

Enables/disables audio rendering

Turns green if the app is properly connected to the 3D Panner, or red otherwise.

A red dot appearing when the app is busy performing a task, indicating that it might be preferable to wait for it to disappear before doing further actions. Said tasks are the following:

  • Startup sequence
  • Loading a project
  • Loading environments for the stage skybox
  • Interpolating between scenic presets
  • Recalling a setup preset
  • Switching layout

How many frames per second the app is rendering. You can change the maximum refresh rate in the Setup layout, under the Master Video out.

Shows the current quarter note the metronome is at. Should be synchronized with Link-enabled softwares like Ableton Live.
