Noise

The noise module is a video noise generator, internally used as the source for the noise-displace effect found on the Performers and platforms, but that can also be used as an abstract texture generator for any Destination module.
Note that this module needs to be enabled in the Setups Module settings for the noise-displace effect to work in other modules.
Parameters
Section titled “Parameters”- basis: the mathematical function used to generate the noise, giving potentially drastically different results
- speed: the speed at which the noise evolves
- zoom: controls both the scale_x and the scale_y while also adapting the noise offset to simulate zooming in and out of the function center. Higher values will dezoom and increase the level of details while lower values will have the opposite effect. A value of 0. will result in the output being of a single color
- scale_x|scale_y: scales the noise horizontally (x) or vertically (y) to increase/decrease the level of detail either in one or the other dimension
- palette_x|palette_y|palette_z (available only in Macro controls): defines the way the computed noise (which is internally one value between 0. and 1. for each pixel) gets colorized, defining rotation coefficients for the red channel (palette_x), green channel (palette_y) and blue channel (palette_z)
