External Source (Ext.Src)

External Source module The purpose of the External source module (abbreviated as Ext.src or ext.source) is to bring live video feeds inside the app.

The source can either be a video device (camera, webcam, Blackmagic device, virtual camera…), a Syphon feed from another app, or a NDI feed coming from the computer’s network. The source selection and audio routing are defined in the External source configuration, part of the Setup presets.

Beside the configuration parameters, the Ext.src module only has two parameters, stored in Scenic presets:

Looper on/off: when enabled, loops the last second of incoming video.
Audio volume: applied before the audio is sent out of the module
